Kieran Baird PT, MScPT, BScKin

Kieran is a graduate of the Master of Science in Physiotherapy program at the University of Alberta. He has participated in recent clinical placements with focus on knee and shoulder injuries, exercise-based rehabilitation, and manual therapy. He has a particular interest in overuse injuries in both athletics and occupational settings. Additionally, he believes strongly in the increasing role for physiotherapy in injury prevention.

Kieran grew up in Riding Mountain National Park in south western Manitoba. A lifelong runner and cross-country skier, he competed nationally in both sports as a university student, and spent time racing and travelling internationally with cross country skiing. He also has a background in competitive soccer, badminton, and martial arts. Last winter, he was the Assistant Coach of the Camrose Ski Club master’s and youth racing teams, as well as the University of Alberta Augustana Nordic Teams.

A former wildland firefighter for several summers in southwestern Alberta, Kieran also has insight into the challenges and common injuries that occur in physically demanding occupations. His goal is to provide practical and personalized rehabilitation that fits the time constraints and lifestyles of those balancing a busy career with an active lifestyle.

Outside of work, Kieran enjoys many outdoor activities, bouldering, and participating in community sports programs. As a new Victoria resident, he is looking for good trail running routes and coffee shop suggestions.
